About Me

I am the mother of five amazing children! I became  passionate about birth and a woman’s ability to give birth after my first child was born in 1994.  My first four children were born in the hospital and my youngest was born at home with a midwife.

Through the years, I continued to educate myself about birth and the choices I had. In 2005, I became certified as a childbirth educator through CAPPA. I love to teach couples about the amazing process of birth and to give them the tools they need to make informed decisions about their birth.

In 2007 I began the training to become a lactation educator. I loved the bonding I experienced breastfeeding my children and desire to give women the education and support they need to breasfeed thier baby.  Currently, I am completing the lactation certification process.

I became a CAPPA certified labor doula in 2008. My desire as a labor doula is to empower you with the knowledge of how capable you are and the choices you have regarding the birth of your baby. I am so blessed to be able to support families during this amazing time.
